Know your customer- who are they, what do your customers like and dislike and need and want, why do they buy products and services (i.e. what’s the driver or motivation for buying), how do customers buy (e.g. online, in-store, etc.), who are your potential or future customers, are there substitute products and services, etc. It’s important to know your customers; without them, you won’t be in business for very long.
